Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Talkhada collects, why, and how it is handled. We collect the minimum needed to run 1:1 lessons — nothing more.
1. What we collect
Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), timezone and language preference. Lesson data: bookings, lesson notes, reviews and inquiries you write. Payment data: order records including PayPal transaction identifiers — we never see or store your card number. Technical data: basic request logs and anonymous funnel events used to improve the service.
2. How we use it
To schedule and run your lessons (including showing times in your timezone), to process payments and keep legally required transaction records, to send service emails such as booking confirmations, reminders, lesson notes and replies to your inquiries, and to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by PayPal. Your card or PayPal account details stay with PayPal; we receive only the confirmation of payment and transaction identifiers needed for receipts and refunds.
4. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, a locale cookie for your language choice, and a timezone cookie so lesson times display correctly before you log in. We don't use third-party tracking cookies.
5. What your tutor sees
Your tutor sees your name, your bookings, and the goal note you optionally attach to a booking — never your email address or other contact details. Communication runs through the service.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Order and payment records are retained as required by commercial and tax law even after an account is deactivated. Lesson notes remain available in your account for as long as it exists.
7. Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time. You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion of your account by contacting us — we'll respond within a reasonable time, subject to legally required retention.
