Talkhada

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Talkhada, an online service for booking and taking 1:1 Korean conversation lessons. By creating an account or booking a lesson, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Talkhada lets you purchase prepaid lesson credits, book 1:1 online Korean lessons with a tutor, attend those lessons by video call, and receive lesson notes. Lessons are delivered live online; no physical goods are sold.

2. Accounts

You need an account to book lessons. Keep your login credentials confidential and the information on your account (name, email, timezone) accurate — lesson times are shown and confirmed based on the timezone saved in your account or browser. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Credits and payment

Lessons are paid for with prepaid credits purchased via PayPal. The price displayed at checkout is the exact amount charged — there are no service fees or surcharges. Credits never expire. We do not offer subscriptions and never charge you automatically; every payment is one you initiate. A price change never affects credits you already own — a credit is a lesson, regardless of what the lesson costs today. The trial lesson is limited to one per student.

4. Booking, cancellation and no-shows

Bookings close 12 hours before a lesson starts. You may cancel free of charge — with your credit returned — up to 24 hours before the start time; cancellations after that are not refunded. Rescheduling works as cancel-then-rebook under the same rule. If you miss a lesson without cancelling (no-show), the credit is used. If your tutor cancels a lesson, your credit is always returned.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy, including a 100% money-back guarantee on your first regular lesson. Unused credits are refundable on request.

6. Conduct

Lessons are a professional learning environment. Harassment, abusive language, or recording a lesson without the other party's consent is not allowed and may lead to account suspension. Contact between students and the tutor should go through the service (bookings, notes, inquiries).

7. Reviews

Only students who have completed a lesson can write a review. We never write, buy, or edit review content; we may hide reviews that contain abuse or personal data.

8. Intellectual property

Lesson notes and curriculum materials are provided for your personal study. Please don't republish or resell them. You keep ownership of anything you write yourself.

9. Liability

We provide the service with care, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability of video-call tools or third-party services (PayPal, email delivery). To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected lessons.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the Notices page before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
